Naila Kiani, a Pakistani mountaineer, made history on Sunday by becoming the first woman from her country to climb five peaks above 8000 meters. Her latest achievement was scaling Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, which stands at 8848 meters and is located in Nepal. Naila had previously climbed Gasherbrum-I, Gasherbrum-II, K2, and Annapurna Mountain.Naila’s ascent of Mount Everest also makes her the second Pakistani woman to summit the peak, after Samina Baig accomplished the feat in 2013 at the age of 23.
