Date:

In a remarkable feat of endurance and determination, Naila Kiani has become the first Pakistani woman to summit Annapurna, the tenth-highest peak in the world. Located in Nepal, Annapurna stands at a staggering 8,091 meters above sea level.

Kiani was part of a six-member team that included renowned Pakistani climber Shehroze Kashif and India’s Arjun Vajpai. After completing their climb on Monday morning, Naila emerged as the first woman from Pakistan to achieve this incredible feat.

With this achievement, Naila Kiani has now climbed four peaks above 8,000 meters. Last year, she successfully scaled Gasherbrum-1 despite facing extreme weather conditions between the C2 and C3 points. In 2021, Naila conquered K2 and reached the peak of Gasherbrum-II.

Despite her impressive resume already, Naila is showing no signs of stopping. She has now set her sights on climbing Mount Everest and Lhotse. Meanwhile, Shehroze Kashif is aiming to climb Dhaulagiri, which is the seventh-highest mountain in the world.

Naila’s achievement is an inspiration to women in Pakistan and around the world, demonstrating that with hard work and perseverance, any dream can be achieved. Her accomplishment is all the more impressive given the challenges that women in Pakistan face in pursuing outdoor activities.

As a nation, Pakistan has a rich history of mountaineering, and Naila Kiani’s success adds to that legacy. Her story will undoubtedly inspire a new generation of climbers in Pakistan and beyond.

In conclusion, Naila Kiani’s achievement is a testament to the power of determination and perseverance. We congratulate her on this historic accomplishment and wish her and her team continued success as they pursue their next challenges
