Gilmore Girls Uncover Legally Blonde Easter Eggs

Date:

Former Gilmore Girls set costumer Valerie Campbell has recently been sharing behind-the-scenes tidbits about the hit drama on TikTok, including a little-known easter egg from the show’s fourth season. Campbell revealed that a polka dot carrier featured in Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde made a brief appearance in Gilmore Girls when Kirk (Sean Gunn) dogsits his girlfriend Lulu’s dog, Buster. According to Campbell, the inclusion of the bag was likely no coincidence, as every “specific prop written into the script” had to be approved by Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino. The revelation has sparked an outpouring of response from fans, with one user wondering how they never noticed the crossover. Campbell also disclosed that the adorable outfits worn by Legally Blonde chihuahua Bruiser were designed by Marilyn Madsen, a “very good friend” of the Gilmore Girls costume supervisor. Despite wrapping up in 2007, Gilmore Girls continues to delight fans, and Campbell’s behind-the-scenes insights offer a new perspective for long-time viewers.
