Millions Of Moviegoers Want Amber Heard Remove from the Aquaman 2 Sequel

Nearly 2,253,498 moviegoers have inked a petition against Amber Heard. Petitioner wanted Amber Heard to be removed from the Aquaman sequel. The petition named “Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2,” in the aftermath of her ex-husband Johnny Depp’s defamation trial. According to the description of the undated petition, signed by Jeanne Larson, Heard has been “revealed as a domestic abuser.”

The petition was generated on March 19, 2019, according to However, there has been increasing interest in it this month, as a result of the explosive trial that has revealed the actors’ tense relationship, which was married in February 2015 and ended in May 2016. The petition is the result of the latest court proceedings started on April 11, 2018, three years after Depp submitted a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard in connection with a 2018 op-ed, she wrote for the Washington Post about domestic abuse.

Although Depp was not named, he stated that his career had been irreparably harmed, and he was reprimanded from the lucrative Pirates of the Caribbean franchise just a few days later. Last year, she countersued him for $100 million. Furthermore, the first Aquaman film dropped in 2018. It was a blockbuster in the same vein as the Pirates of the Caribbean films. It is one of only a few dozen films to have made more than a billion dollars at the box office. The sequel, labeled Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, has already begun filming.

Larson commented that because Amber Heard is a known and proven domestic abuser, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must replace Heard in their Aquaman 2 film project. They must not ignore the suffering of Heard’s victims, and they must not glamorize a domestic abuser. Larson further added that men, like women, are victims of domestic abuse, and action must be taken to thwart a known abuser from being celebrated in the entertainment industry. Do the right thing, and remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2.
