Grammy-Nominated Artist Cheri Moon to Feature in First-Ever NFT-Funded Film

Date:

Grammy-nominated artist Cheri Moon is going to surprise all of her fans as she will be featured in a first-of-its-kind NFT film, “I Live Here Now.” The movie is directed by Julie Pacino and fully funded by the Keepers Of The Inn NFT-art project. The NFT-art project has featured more than 3,300 photos taken during rehearsals of the movie.

The film is the first feature film to be funded entirely with Non-Fungible Tokens, as well as the first photographic Internet Protocol to result in the creation of a full film. According to the Keeper Of The Inn official website, “I Live Here Now” is about a young actress who becomes disillusioned with Hollywood’s contradictory demands on her body after learning she’s pregnant.  She flees to the Madonna Inn where she notices that the staff at the Inn are watching her every move, and she suspects that the hotel has a dark purpose about her body as it begins to absorb her sanity.

Furthermore, the movie director Pacino pledged to promote female creators with film and art projects. Female directors continue to face challenges in the film industry, only 12 percent of the top 250 grossing films in 2021 were directed by women. Pacino wants to fix that.

In addition, her project intends to provide new chances for women in the entertainment and film industries by upsetting the present film infrastructure. Pacino announced a short film competition after the Keepers Of The Inn collection sold out. NFT holders will choose three filmmakers to receive a grant to help fund their films. According to the website, once the projects are completed, they will be minted, and the filmmakers will be able to keep 100% of the earnings from their production as well as 50% of secondary sales from the Keepers Of The Inn Fund.
