Demi Lovato No Longer Appear in the Planned NBC Comedy Hungry

Demi Lovato, an American singer, has opted to leave her role in the NBC pilot Hungry just as the shoot was about to begin. Since January 2021, the 29-year-old singer and actress have been attached to feature in the pilot. Due to scheduling conflicts, Lovato has stepped down from the film now that filming is ready to begin, however, she remains on board as an executive producer.

Suzanne Martin is the writer and executive producer. James Burrows will direct the show. Hungry follows a group of friends who belong to a food-issues group helping one another as they search for love, success, and the perfect thing in the fridge that is going to make it all better. It has been disclosed that the production is searching to recast the role, retaining the pilot on its current filming schedule.

Furthermore, Hungry was picked up by NBC for a pilot in April 2021 as a single-camera comedy. The rest of the cast was added later when the new, multi-camera style was unveiled, and multi-camera king Burrows was in charge of the direction. Recently, Valerie Bertinelli inked a contract a few days later to play Lisa, the mother of Lovato’s character Teddy.

In addition, Lovato began her career in the entertainment sector on the small screen at the age of ten, with a role on Barney & Friends. Camp Rock gave her a big break in 2008, the same year they released their newest album “Don’t Forget”. Lovato’s Peacock series Unidentified with Demi Lovato has premiered, and it follows Lovator, their sister Dallas, and closest buddy Matthew as they endeavor to unearth the truth about UFOs.
