Gigi Hadid, an American model who has always shown her support for Palestinians, has decided to help the people of Ukraine. Ukraine is suffering because of Russia’s military aggression. In the heart of Europe, the attack has continued to sow death and ruin. Hundreds of people have died or been injured as a result of the fighting in just a few days, including many youngsters.

She has decided to lessen the pain of Ukrainians by pledging to contribute her proceeds from the Fall 2022 concerts to those affected by the conflict in Ukraine, as well as to continue to help those affected by the conflict in Palestine. Meanwhile, many sources claim that the Russian invasion of Ukraine has displaced over a million people.

Gigi has always voiced her support for those who suffer at the hands of aggressors. She took to her Instagram story and stated that she has decided to donate her earnings to the two war-torn countries, following the lead of fellow model Mica Argañaraz. Argañaraz requested all of her model friends and colleagues to donate a portion of their fashion week income to Ukraine last month.

Our eyes and hearts must be open to all human injustice, she added on her Instagram story. Beyond politics, ethnicity, and religion, may we all understand each other as brothers and sisters. At the end of the day, it is the lives of innocent people who pay the price for war, not the leaders. Hadid made the statement almost a week after her sister Bella backed Argañaraz’s campaign.

She stated that we have many Ukrainian friends, coworkers, models, production, and casting, and it is quite upsetting to witness the lack of communication/knowledge about a war so close.  It’s strange to be walking in fashion shows as our job, especially at this moment. She encouraged her industry’s folks to do their homework and have open discussions about what’s going on next door.
