Laraib Atta, daughter of legendary artist Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi, makes her country proud by earning Oscar and BAFTA nominations for the year 2022. She is a visual artist from Pakistan and hailed from the Isakhel region of Punjab, Pakistan. She and her team were nominated for Oscar in the category Best Special Visual Effects.
‘No Time to Die,’ the most recent Bond film, received three nominations at the 94th Academy Awards, including ‘Best Original Song,’ ‘Best Song,’ and ‘Best Visual Effects.’ Laraib Atta, the digital compositor for the film, is a young artist from Pakistan who is part of the visual crew. She is one of the world’s youngest female visual effects artists, having worked on films.
Her projects include ‘Godzilla,’ ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past,’ and ‘Mission: Impossible-Fallout,’ among others. After receiving Oscar and BAFTA nominations, she thanked her “brother Sanwal and her mother for supporting. Furthermore, she also said: “I’d want to say thank you for all the lovely messages and support I’ve been getting for Oscar, BAFTA recognition for visual effects on ‘no time to die.”
Additionally, other nominations for Visual Effects include Dune, Free Guy, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Shang-Chi, and the legend of ten rings. Furthermore, it has been confirmed that both the extravagant award ceremonies, the Oscars, and the BAFTAs will be scheduled for March 2022.
