Clarence Avant and his family have experienced a tragic loss as his wife has succumbed to a gunshot. Jacqueline was killed in her home in Beverly Hills, the house which she shared with her husband Clarence. Jacqueline was shifted to hospital, but she has lost her life battle. Beverly Hills police discovered an unnamed victim had suffered a gunshot wound after they received a call at 2:30 a.m. about a shooting in the 1100 block.
Authorities disclosed that when they reached the scene, they discovered a woman lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Later the woman was recognized as Jacqueline Avant. The police have not arrested any suspect yet. But authorities confirmed that the shooting was not random. The incident remains under scrutiny.
Furthermore, Jacqueline Avant had earned a reputation as a philanthropist who aided low-income neighborhoods in the Los Angeles area. She was on the board of directors of the International Student Center at the University of California, Los Angeles. The Avants have a daughter, Nicole Avant, and a son, Alexander Du Bois Avant. Nicole is acting as a film producer and former U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas. She has tied the knot to Netflix co-CEO and COO Ted Sarandos.

NBA superstar Magic Johnson wrote on Twitter that he was “appalled” by the news of Avant’s death. He said: “Cookie and I are utterly appalled at the death of one of our dearest friends Jackie Avant. She was carelessly assassinated last night in a home attack. This is the most tragic day in our lives.”
