Indian actress Harnaaz Sandhu has officially been chosen as the Miss Universe 2021. 21-years old defeat 79 other participants to claim an award. The participants were from various countries and regions. The runner-up of the event was Miss Paraguay Nadia Ferreira, and the second runner-up was Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane.
Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza has awarded Harnaaz the crown of Miss Universe 2021. After receiving her crown she takes her first walk as the new Miss Universe on the stage in Eilat, Israel. She has put a seal on the 2021 controversial pageant hosted this year in southern Israel after claiming the prestigious award.
The competition was a remarkable one, as it was the first time that a representative from UAE has ever battled and the first time in over four decades that Miss Universe Morocco was back in a pageant. Furthermore, Harnaaz disclosed that she has got encouragement from Priyanka Chopra. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, dancing, cooking, horse riding, and playing chess. She took to Instagram and thanked her country for supporting her in the competition.
Harnaaz during her speed after winning the pageant advises young people to know their worth. She told them that they are unique in their own way and that makes you beautiful. She asked young people to stop comparing themselves to others. She revealed that the secret of her winning the prestigious award is that she believed in herself.
