It’s an excellent decision to promote the role of women in sports which has long been jeered in Saudi Arabia’s conventional society. The federation disclosed that the opening season of a women’s league will commence later this month.

The federation revealed that the November 22 launch is part of a program set up by the Saudi Arabia Football Federation in 2017 to promote women’s football. It has been confirmed that they would be executed in two stages inside the regional league. Federation made it clear that sixteen teams will participate in the first phase with games played in three cities. The 3 cities include the capital Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.
