Dell Technologies has made a historic decision after the company disclosed the decision to name Leanne Buer as New Zealand country manager. The decision will come into action from Monday, November 29, 2021. Buer become the first to take up the recently instituted country-based role. Her job is to report to Dell Australia and New Zealand SVP and managing director Angela Fox.
Furthermore, she will also be responsible for managing Dell’s New Zealand operation. The decision of Leanne appointment will be very advantageous for Dell Technologies as Leanne’s leadership will help customers and partners through utilizing an industry-leading technology portfolio and a wealth of expertise. Presently, the company is focusing on digital transformation.
Earlier, Leanne has taken various senior leadership roles during her 25 years working in the technology service sector. Not too long ago, she served as a managing director of Cisco. Leanne has earlier displayed strong support for the IT industry. She has expertise tutoring the next generation of tech leaders and inspiring New Zealand’s youth to continue their careers in STEM through her active participation in the development and delivery of education programs.
In addition, she has also shown enthusiasm for fostering the representation of females in the IT industry. She played a key role in establishing a program to retrain women who had been relocated by COVID disturbances in the essentials of cybersecurity. Over 130 people have already taken part in the program, which is now being launched in Australia.
Moreover, Leanne was the receiver of the 2018 Women In ICT Achievement Award. She was then welcomed into the New Zealand Reseller News Hall of Fame in 2019 In 2018. She disclosed that she is happy to pursue Dell Technologies’ aim to create technologies that make human improvement really booms with her.
