She was hot in the head by the Taliban and after that, she spent months getting treatment for her terrible injures. After that, Yousafzai is known for her activism work on behalf of girls and women, predominantly in emphasizing education for girls around the world.
Malala took to her social media and shared the news of her marriage with her fans. She wrote: “Today marks a precious day in my life,” she wrote. “Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.”
Previously, in an interview with British Vogue Malala has disclosed that she wasn’t sure whether she would ever marry. Her interview sparked new criticism but her parents clearly disclosed in public that her interview was wrongly understood by fans. Malala told British Vogue that she doesn’t understand why people have to get married. She said: “if you want to have a person in your life, why do you have to sign marriage papers, why can’t it just be a partnership?”
Furthermore, she disclosed that even when she was in the second year of her university she had this thought that she would never marry and never have kids. She would just focus on her work. But she also stated: “You’re not the same person all the time. You change as well and you’re growing.” So, her marriage proved that she has changed and is a completely different person now.
Malala has not provided information about her husband but her fans are quick to find information about her husband. Her fans identified her husband as Asser Malik. He is the general manager of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s High-Performance Centre. She got the congratulations message after she shared the pictures of her nikkah ceremony with her fans on social media.
