Naomi Osaka Hints Her Return to Tennis Soon

Four-time Grand Slam Champion Naomi Osaka gave a green signal regarding her return to tennis after she feel an “itch” to play again. Earlier, at US Open she announced that she has decided to take a pause to focus on her mental health after she got defeated by Leylah Fernandez. But the 23-year-old Japanese player talked about on HBO’s ‘The Shop’ that she still liked the sport and was already desiring to return to the court.

The former world No 1, who retreated from next month’s BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, has strived for since she pulled out from the French Open in May after an argument with tournament officials over mandatory media representations, which she thought had a negative influence on her. Osaka has fallen to seventh in the world rankings.

Four-time Grand Slam Champion disclosed that matches are challenging now and she contemplates that now is the right time to take a break. She stated that she used to love the game and just being competitive. If she were to play a long match, the longer it was the more fun it was for her. But recently she started to feel that the longer it was the more stressful she became. But she just wanted a break to go within herself.

Furthermore, Osaka talked to ‘The Uninterrupted’ HBO show that earlier she feels pleasure playing the matched but now she didn’t feel much pleasure when entering court because she was playing for other people, rather than herself. Osaka’s recent decision to withdraw from the Indian Well Tournament has disappointed her fans but now her disclosure about her return soon is comforting for her fans.
