Angelina Jolie Make her Instagram Debut with a Post of Teenage Girl in Afghanistan

American actress Angelina Jolie has joined Instagram to share the letter of a young girl from Afghanistan.   The 46-year-old, who is a special envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, remove the identity of the sender. When she received the letter of a teenage girl, she has decided to use her fame to raise her voice for the girls in Afghanistan who are unable to share their difficulties.

Angelina has gained more than 1.8 million followers within two hours of joining Instagram. She made her Instagram debut with a picture of a letter she had obtained from a teenage girl in Afghanistan. In the letter, the teenage girl disclosed the difficulties of Afghan girls which they are facing in continuing their education.

The letter read: “We lost our freedom, and we are imprisoned again. Our rights have been violated.” Furthermore, the young girl disclosed that she heard everyone saying that the Taliban has changed but she questioned the statement and said how could they change if they have a bad past. She feared that after the Taliban take over their rights has gone, and all their dream vanished.

The young girl also believed that she thinks that this takeover threw them to past 20-years. Moreover, Angelina believed that the Afghan people have lost their ability to speak on social media and to voice themselves freely” after the takeover of the country.  Angelina wrote: “I’ve come on Instagram to share their stories and the voices of those across the globe who are fighting for their basic human rights.”
