Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is striving to empower women in every sector. In this regard, Saudi Arabia has taken a historic step to further promote women empowerment in Kingdom. Recently, the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, disclosed that 20 women have been allocated to key positions in Haram Presidency.
The 20 women who have been allocated in key leadership positions at the presidency are holders of masters and doctoral degrees. The key positions include assistant head of the presidency, undersecretaries of the presidency, and assistant undersecretaries in various developmental fields at the presidency.
The General Presidency of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque enables believers to execute the religious worship and the rituals in a safe and unadulterated atmosphere. Moreover, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, Head of the General Presidency stated that prominent females will be encouraged intellectually and practically to take these positions.
In addition to this, an assistant agency will also be established for women’s empowerment under the presidency as part of the ongoing struggles that have been made to empower women at the Two Holy Mosques. Furthermore, the Head of the Presidency stated that females who are serving at the Two Holy Mosques have demonstrated their expertise in various fields.
Moreover, the presidency seeks to continue working to accomplish the greatest benefit from the eminent female forces and to utilize their endeavors in assisting Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and visitors in compliance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
