A female sailor has set new records and break history as she became the first female graduate of the United States Navy special warfare unit. A female who has completed her training from the US Navy special warfare unit is the first female graduate of the warfare unit. Her graduation from the unit caused the latest gender barrier to drop in the five years since women became qualified to apply for any fighting job in the military.
US Navy warfare unit disclosed that the first female graduate will directly back the SEALs and other elite commando units. As per the standard policy for the special forces, the unit didn’t disclose the details of the first female graduate who has broken the gender barrier. This graduation of a woman is a “remarkable achievement” of the warfare unit.
Rear Adm. Hugh W. Howard III, the commander of the U.S. Naval Special Warfare Command disclosed that she has shown the extraordinary capabilities like her fellow operators which are required in this job. US Navy revealed that Candidates of Crewman Qualification Training (CQT) Class 115 successfully finalized Naval Special Warfare’s (NSW) assessment and selection pipeline to become Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen (SWCC).
The graduates have secured their pins on Thursday, July 15, 2021. Moreover, the Navy disclosed that among 17 graduates, there is a first female graduate of the unit. Furthermore, SWCC is a specialist in underground insertion and removal, using a unique combination of skills with weapons, navigation, radio communication, first aid, engineering, skydiving, and special operations tactics.
