Girl with Down Syndrome Makes Her Parent Proud by Memorizing Holy Quran

Jordanian girl Rawan Dweik has made history as she became the first girl with down syndrome who memorize the Holy Quran. Her mother, Awatef Jaber, disclosed the journey of her daughter of memorizing the Holy Quran. She disclosed that while having a special health condition her daughter achieved her target of memorizing the Holy Quran.

Rawan Dweik’s mother stated that she was very intelligent, and she felt her intelligence. When she realized that she has the ability to memorize the Holy Quran she admitted her in school when she was only 6. Awatef revealed that when she gave birth to her and came to know that she has down syndrome she felt sad.

Dweik’s mother disclosed: “When I delivered her and realized that she suffers from Down syndrome, and like any mother, I felt miserable and upset, but I loved her very much, and I promised to God that I would teach her to read the Qur’an and if my Lord penned to remember it.”

In addition to this, Rawan has memorized the Surat al-Baqarah within a year and a half. When she gave the test she got a full mark, and when was done with her exam, she bows down to God a prostration of thanks.

Furthermore, she disclosed that Rawan, during her memorization of Surat Al-Baqarah, dreams that she was wearing a bride’s dress, and she told her mom that. Her mother told her that it is the will of God that her mother will be in heaven when she remembered Surat Al-Baqarah. Her mother decided to dress her a bride’s dress on the day of honor, and she fulfilled her dream.
