Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle have greeted their second child. The couple disclosed the birth of their baby girl, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. Lili came into this world on 4 June at 11:40 a.m. in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA.
Sources disclosed that the mother and little girl are in good health. Little girl weight is 7 lbs 11 oz. Meghan and Harry gave name to their daughter after her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen. Lilibet is the family nickname of Her Majesty. Her middle name, Diana, was selected to value her dear late grandmother, The Princess of Wales.
Lili is the second child of Prince Harry and Meghan who also shared their two-year-old son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Last year, Meghan and Harry left their position as senior royals. The couple has announced the news by sharing a message on the Archewell website.
The couple wrote: “On June 4th, we were honored with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever thought, and we remain thankful for the love and prayers we’ve observed from across the world. Thank you for your continued blessing and support during this very special time for our family.”
The couple has earlier disclosed the news that they are expecting their second child on Valentine’s day. Later in an interview with Oprah Winfrey, they disclosed that they are expecting a baby girl. Prince Harry earlier disclosed: “To have a boy then a girl what more can you ask for?” They also revealed they won’t have any more children after the birth of their baby girl.
