Pakistani Badminton Player Mahoor Shahzad has made her country proud by earning a spot in Tokyo Olympics. Pakistan Badminton Federation has confirmed that she is the first player from Pakistan who has secured a spot in Tokyo Olympics. This is the greatest accomplishment for Mahoor in her badminton career.
This day in her life came only because of her efforts and determination, said PBF’s Nisar Ahmed Shahwani and PBF Secretary-General Wajid Ali Chaudhry. The Pakistan Olympic Association and Pakistan Badminton Federation wished her good luck for the international sporting event.
This is an important sporting event not only for Mahoor but also for Pakistan as she became the first player who is going to portray Pakistan in Tokyo Olympics. Badminton player is graded amongst the top 133 women players in the globe. This is the first time a Pakistani woman has been given an invitational spot on the Olympics judging her international position and status.
Mahoor took to Instagram and expressed her feelings after her latest selection for Tokyo Olympics. She shared a picture of herself with a Pakistani Flag and captioned the post: “A dream has certainly come true. Alhamdulillah, I have been selected for Tokyo Olympics 2020. This is a great accomplishment for Pakistan as I am the first Pakistani Badminton player to qualify for the Olympics. I am really thankful to my parents for their love and support, my supporters for their prayers, Pakistan Olympic Association and Pakistan Badminton Federation for their efforts and support.”
