Billie Eilish to Become Youngest Co-Chair of Met Gala

American pop-singer Billie Eilish is going to set new records as she is going to become the youngest person to co-chair the fashion world’s biggest night gala, as Vogue disclosed the schedule of the 2021 Met Gala co-chairs. The event is being held to commemorate the Metropolitan Museum of Art‘s Costume Institute’s 75th Anniversary.

Gala was deferred last year because of the rampant coronavirus pandemic. Last month, the Metropolitan Museum of Art disclosed to organize the gala. Billie Eilish added a new feather to her cap as she is going to co-chair the event as the youngest singer. This is the greatest achievement for Billie in her career.

Other than Billie the co-chairs of the events include inaugural poet Amanda Gorman, Timothée Chalamet, and tennis player Naomi Osaka. Moreover, Gen-Z troupe, honorary chairs include Tom Ford, Anna Wintour, and Instagram‘s Adam Mosseri.

It has been disclosed that there would be two consistent galas. The first of the two which is the private one will be held on September 13, 2021. The other on May 2, 2022. The organizers disclosed the September event will observe government COVID-19 restrictions however, they are confident to host a larger group of guests in the 2022 Met Gala.

Billie is all set to release her second album Happier Than Ever on July 30. The second track “Your Power” she dropped on April 29 win on all music charts and was classified #1 on the US Spotify chart just within 24 hours of its release.
