Kamyab Jawan Programme Distribute Rs 1 Billion Among Female Entrepreneurs

The government of Pakistan has distributed around Rs 1 Billion to female entrepreneurs all around the country under the Kamyab Jawan Program. Women who have received the grant became eligible under the Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme (YES) of the Kamyab Jawan Programme (KJP).

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar disclosed that the grant, out of the total distribution totaling Rs8 billion under YES, was disseminated among over 1,000 eligible women entrepreneurs. He further stated that YES was rolled out in October 2019 under the banner of the Kamyab Jawan Programme to offer the youth soft loans for the commencement of their own businesses.

The government of Pakistan has allocated the Rs 25 billion amount especially for the women under the new program. The SAPM requested the women and youth all around the country take part in this program to receive the fund. This new program has been designed with the sole aim to strengthen then entrepreneurship in the country.

Usman Dar revealed that currently, the soft loan scheme had three tiers. Under tier-1, the loan limit was from Rs100,000 to Rs1 million. On the other hand, the loan limit in tier 2 stood at Rs1 million and around Rs10 million. Moreover, under tier-3, the loan limit reached above Rs10 million and around Rs25 million.

Furthermore, the tier women allowed women to get loans without provid4ing any security. They can only receive the loan on the basis of their talent. Usman Dar said the government planning also endeavoring to add another tier of Rs100,000 to Rs500,000 as most of the applications were acknowledged for this type of loan under the YES.
