Stefanie Golan Appointed As New Missouri Women’s Soccer Coach

Stefanie Golan has been appointed as the new Missouri Women’s Soccer Coach. Golan, the 2016 Big Ten Coach of the Year, is a resident of St. Charles, Mo. She spent nine seasons coaching the Gophers. She is succeeding Bryan Blitz, who declared his retirement this spring. She came to Columbia with her twelve years of head coaching experience.

She has a career record of 125-82-34 and started her head coaching career at Army. Golan has inked a five-year contract as a New Missouri Women’s Soccer Coach. Jim Sterk has disclosed that we are excited to introduce Stefanie Golan as the second head coach of the Mizzou Women’s Soccer program.

Sterk stated that Stefanie is a zealous leader of young women who has shown academic and athletic excellence during the whole playing and coaching career, and those experiences will assist her to improve Mizzou to great success on and off the pitch in the future seasons. Golan takes over for long-time Mizzou Soccer coach Bryan Blitz, who resigned at the end of the 2020-2021 season after 25 seasons as head coach.
