Demi Lovato Officially Changing Pronouns to They/Them

American singer and actress Demi Lovato has disclosed Wednesday that they identified as non-binary and decided to officially change their pronouns to they/them. They disclosed that they took the decision to change their pronoun after a long period of self-reflection. When they decided to change their pronouns, they chose to share this news with their fans.

Singer took to Instagram and shared a video of themselves with a long caption. They wrote: “Every day we wake up, we are given another opportunity and chance to be who we want and wish to be. I’ve spent the majority of my life growing in front of all of you.”

“You’ve seen the good, the bad, and everything in between. Not only has my life been a journey for myself, but I was also living for those on the other side of the cameras. Today is a day I’m so happy to share more of my life with you all.  I am proud to let you know that I identify as non-binary and will officially be changing my pronouns to they/them moving forward,” They added.

They further stated: “I am doing this for those out there that haven’t been able to share who they truly are with their loved ones. Please keep living in your truths and know I am sending so much love your way.”

Looking at their musical career, they have gained recognition for playing intermittently in Disney’s ‘Camp Rock’ in 2008. Lovato has performed voice acting in ‘Smurfs: The Lost Village’ and Charming and featured in ‘Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga’. Most recently, a documentary series called ‘Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil’ was broadcasted as a YouTube Original and concentrated on their near-fatal overdose in 2018.
