English football manager Emma Hayes expressed happiness after Chelsea Women made it to the first Women‘s Champions League final. She disclosed that her side has secured the place in the final league under her guidance. She endeavored her whole life for this special occasion.

Hayes stated that the strength in this group is just so incredible. She is confident to win the final but first, she acknowledged the team’s strong performance to mark the history and reach the “dream” place.  After reaching the final, her team became the third club in 20 years to secure a place in the Women’s Champions League final having missed the first leg of the semi-final.

The Blues had a long way to go after losing 2-1 to Bayern Munich Women in the first leg last week, but an extraordinary performance at Kingsmeadow helped them to secure 4-1 in the second leg and 5-3 on aggregate.

After securing the spot in the final, the team of Hayes will now play against Barcelona after a 4-1 triumph helped them through 5-3 on aggregate, confessed she was delighted when she saw that Bayern Munich had substituted to 4-4-2 from the 3-5-2 that was so fruitful at impeding the potent Chelsea forward line in the first leg.

Hayes disclosed that this was the main game of her managerial career, but now a challenging one lies ahead, in Gothenburg on Sunday 16 May. She said: “We are here to secure it, let’s be clear. I am happy to play Barcelona in a one-off game, in a neutral venue. Why? Because Spanish teams are tricky.”
