Oscar-Winning Producer Awarded Second Highest Civilian French Honour

Indian film Producer, Guneet Monga has been bestowed with the second-highest civilian french honor. She has awarded the Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters at the Residence of France for her addition to world cinema.

She has gained popularity for producing the films such as “The Lunchbox” and “Masaan”. She has been acknowledged for her addition to the world cinema through her Indo-French productions and “her constant work for the empowerment of women.”

Sikhya Entertainment is the production company of Guneet Monga. Monga has created several well-known Indo-French productions featuring actor Irrfan Khan “The Lunchbox”, filmmaker Neeraj Ghaywan’s 2015 drama “Masaan” and “Taj Mahal”.

She took to Instagram and wrote: “Truly humbled and grateful for being conferred with the honour of the ‘Chevalier dans I’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres’ (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) by H.E. Mr Jean-Yves Le Drian.”

After receiving the honor she stated that it is a special moment for the person who admired the French cinema. She disclosed that currently, she is endeavoring to empower women through her work. She dedicated her honor to every girl with a dream.
