British-American Television personality Sharon Osbourne has faced new allegations of racism and bullying on the set. Journalist Yashar Ali has made the allegations against Osbourne. Yashar Ali said that Osbourne referred to ex- co-host Julie Chen as “wonton” and “slanty eyes”.
The accusations come just as the CBS daytime talk show has gone on a brief break after a passionate debate last week between co-hosts Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood concerning Osbourne’s support of her longtime friend, Piers Morgan.
The Talk had disclosed that it has decided to re-air some old episodes of the show after the debate between Osbourne and Sheryl. Piers Morgan has slammed the show for briefly pulling the show off-air. This debate was started the last week after Sheryl inquired from Osbourne about her support for Piers Morgan who left his job as a host of “Good Morning Britain” after the allegations that he has sparked racism for commenting about Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah.
Donald Trump Jr. has quoted the tweet of Piers Morgan and wrote: “This is getting crazy! Now other shows are being pulled off the air because someone who actually knows someone else doesn’t believe they’re racist simply because someone else blamed them of it with no basis simply because he didn’t believe someone else.”
Osbourne has later tweeted and asked for an apology. On the other hand, CBS said: “CBS is bound to a different, inclusive and appreciative workplace across all of our productions. We’re also very heedful of the important affairs exposed and conversations taking place concerning events on ‘The Talk.”
