It hasn’t been long since President Joe Biden’s administration came to power, however, he is taking charge and making a lot of historical firsts including the appointment of Saima Mohsin who will be performing the role of acting United States attorney for Michigan’s Eastern District.

She has a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey and possesses a variety of skills and abilities to perfectly execute the role.

Born and raised in Pakistan, Saima is the first female Muslim to be shouldered with a responsibility of such caliber. She was offered the job after her predecessor Matthew Schneider resigned when the new leader of the country was sworn in office.

The US Justice Department announced that Schneider will continue to carry out his duties till the 1st of February after which Mohsin will assume the empty seat under the Vacancies Reform Act.

Mohsin expressed her gratitude stating that she is honored and will make sure that she does everything in her power to uphold the law, act impartial and be fair to all seeking justice.

Schneider believes that Mohsin will make everyone proud and is confident that she will be an outstanding representative and defender of the people.
