Physician-Entrepreneur Using Her Platform Wisely To Empower Women

Dr. Aaliya Yaqub, MD is a Board-certified physician, skincare, and wellness expert and runs her own healthcare startup. She attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Stanford Hospital.

She then moved on to specializing in dermatology and successfully managed to publish groundbreaking research on cutaneous fibrosing disorders.

Despite being a mother to 4 beautiful young children, she hasn’t stopped her mission to encourage women to live a happy and healthy lifestyle.

Aaliya commented that she wants to share her experiences so that other women can learn from her stories and make better and informed choices.

Two years ago, she began organizing live events in Silicon Valley, inspiring women to establish their own firms. They turned out to be a huge hit and the frequent meet and greets allowed the participants to learn and grow and become exemplary leaders.

She said that she wants to help working women land their first job with ease and finesse and says that it doesn’t stop here. They need to be aware of what to wear to an interview and how to gracefully present themselves too.

Dr. Aaliya is also using her voice on social media like Instagram etc. to educate young girls and ladies of all ages on skincare. She posts pictures and videos on what products to use and what regimes to follow for various skin types and has developed some of the most recognizable items in the market.

She commented, “Anyone can have smooth glowing skin if they use the right scientific approach. I’m a big believer that you should keep things very simple.”

She shared that most people don’t pursue what they are passionate about because they have certain fears and are hesitant but it is important to know that one shouldn’t be afraid to while fulfilling their dreams.

They only need to have firm faith in their abilities, instead of second-guessing themselves. They only need to build confidence because where there is a will, there is always a way.
