Halsey Apologizes For Sharing Triggering Photo On Instagram

American singer and globally acclaimed artist, Halsey recently took to Twitter to apologize to her fans for posting a photo over a sensitive issue without any trigger warnings. She said that she is extremely sorry and would not like anyone to suffer because of her impulsive actions.

The statement comes after the 26-year-old posted a picture of herself struggling with an eating disorder and shared it on social media after she asked her followers what kind of stories they want to see.

Everything was going smoothly until somebody randomly asked her what she’s like when she feels low. Apologizing, Halsey wrote, “I had positive intentions. I would never want to harm someone who shares my struggle.”

Soon after criticism started to pour in, controversy followed and a debate started stirring in the comment section. Others started to bash her for being inconsiderate and not realizing that as a public figure she needs to take responsibility for her actions.

Previously, Halsey has been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder and takes medication to keep tabs on her mental health. She has been very open about it but has also shown several times that she gets emotionally vulnerable and needs to step back from her activities to calm herself and manage the stress of the job.

She said that fame and stardom come after a lot of pressure from the industry and sometimes that gets to you which does not help especially if one is already dealing with multiple health issues.

Fans claimed that Halsey did not write a clear enough warning which caused an uproar not giving some the chance to avoid looking at the image.

She left the online platform, ending the argument by stating that she doesn’t have the mind nor the capacity to face the current situation where people are clearly not ready to listen to what others have to say and understand them.

Halsey said that I don’t want to act like a snob and sound rude but I need to do this for myself so for being the time being I would like to take my leave and log out.
