For the first time last month, Taylor was awarded the title of The Ring Magazine’s pound-for-pound number one female fighter in the whole world.
Taylor was only named at number two when the sport’s unofficial but respected world rankings were first applied to women boxers last August.
She stands second to Clarissa Shields who won three world titles in her 10 professional bouts as a light-heavyweight boxer. Yet Taylor is considered number one among all of her competitors by judges of Ring’s 11.
