A Chinese Vlogger Lamu has lost her life after she was doused in petrol and set on fire by her abusive ex-husband. Lamu was streaming live when this horrendous incident took place in Aba, China.
30-year old blogger was at her home when he broke into her house armed with cleaver and petrol. He attacked her in front of her family.
The social media star had 782,000 followers and 6.3 million likes on the Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
It has not revealed yet what was the motive of her ex-husband. Many reports disclosed that he was seeking revenge after she filed for divorce because of domestic violence.
Lamu had experienced burn wounds on 90 percent of her body. She had fought for her life for more than two weeks but she succumbed to burn wounds.
Police have arrested her ex-husband, but his motives are not yet known. Lamu was a big star in the Chinese version of TikTok.
She was a popular Tibetan video blogger who lived in the mountainous prefecture of Aba in western China’s Sichuan Province.
In her last video, she was seen performing to a traditional Tibetan song to express her best wishes to her fans. Reports disclosed that during her live session the screen suddenly turned black.
Her fans also heard the sound of screaming. She had not posted anything on her account for two days. After two days her sister, Zhuoma shared details about the attack.
Her sister requested her fans for financial help. Samaritans have donated around one million yuan (£114,038) to the family.
