BLINKS Stands Up To Protect Jennie After YG Considers Deleting Nurse Outfit Scenes From ‘Lovesick Girls’ MV

BLINKS has started hashtag #YGDontDeleteTheScene after YG Entertainment announced that it is planning to delete the Jennie nurse outfit scenes from ‘Lovesick Girls’ MV.

YG Entertainment has released the statement after the Korean Health and Medical Workers Union (KHMU) has slammed YG for the sexualized portrayal of nurses.

BLACKPINK has made their official comeback on October 2, 2020, with their new album. The ‘Lovesick Girls’ music video has received criticism for the wrong depiction of the occupation of Nurses.

In the MV of Lovesick Girls BLACKPINK’s Jennie is seen wearing the uniform of nurses. But Korean Health workers staged a protest that the YG has objectified nurses in the music video.

YG Entertainment released a statement and said that they have decided to edit the ‘Lovesick Girls’ MV after the huge criticism from health workers.

The label revealed that they will soon replace the MV with the edited version. The company disclosed that they have no wrong intention. They apologized to nurses who felt discomfort because of this issue.

BLINKS are asking YG Entertainment to not to edit Jennie’s nurse scene from ‘Lovesick Girls’. BLINKS started a hashtag to support Jennie.
