In the 72nd Primetime Emmy Awards, Zendaya has set new goals for younger actors. She telecasted her acceptance speech from her home.
In her pride moment, her family and friends were with her, cheering for her success. In her speech, she expressed her gratitude for the TV academy. She also thanked HBO and A24 for their support.
Furthermore, she said: “To the incredible cast and crew of Euphoria, I’m so lucky to go to work with you every day, and I’m inspired by everything you do.
Actress also thanked creator Sam Levinson. She said: “I appreciate you so much, you’re my family & I’m so grateful for Rue. I’m so grateful that you trusted me with your story, and I hope I continue to do you proud.”
Zendaya becomes the second Black woman to win the best drama actress award. She won an award following Viola Davis, who won for her work on ‘How to Get Away With Murder,’ in 2015.
