Vanessa Bryant, wife of basketball player Kobe Bryant has filed a lawsuit against Los Angeles Sheriff and his department. She said that deputies took photos of Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s bodies at the crash site.
Vanessa said that almost 8 sheriff’s deputies have taken the picture of dead children, parents, and coaches in the helicopter crash which killed her husband Kobe and daughter Gianna.
The lawsuit claims that she experienced huge pain after learning that her husband and daughter’s pictures were distributing among officers. The pictures were the subject of conversation that had no investigation purpose.
Basketball player’s wife has sued Sheriff Alex Villanueva. She revealed that he tried to cover it up by telling deputies that they would not face repercussions if they deleted the photos.
In the lawsuit, Ms. Bryant said she is in pain at the thought of strangers gazing at images of her deceased husband and child.
The lawsuit also states that Vanessa lives in fear that she or her children will one day see horrific images of their loved ones online.
Vanessa revealed that the photos came into light when one officer showed those photos to a woman to impress her in a bar. But the bartender heard the conversation and exposed the Sheriff department.
Sheriff Alex Villanueva never told about those pictures to the family and they came to know through the media.
The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages, including punitive damages. Vanessa is currently in a devastated situation because of her mother Sofia Laine.
Sofia claimed that Vanessa kicked her out of the family house and took her car which she used.
But her daughter said that she is already distress after the death of her husband and daughter. And now her mother criticized her.
She revealed that she and Kobe financially supported her for 20 years. But now she is shedding tears about a car and home that wasn’t in her name.
