The US Postal Service crisis is a serious issue in the US amid the current crisis. The issue further complicated after Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, a former Trump donor, has implemented the cost-cutting measures.
Because of those measures, USPS delayed in various parts of the US. Former Postmaster General Manager Megan Brennan has also warned that PS is currently in the dire need of funding.
States are gearing up to gather more mail-in ballots than ever because of the coronavirus pandemic as Americans fear putting their health at risk to vote in person.
President Trump who is an opponent of mail-in ballots said he wouldn’t support the bailout to the US postal service.
He also confessed that he wants to stop funding to the PS to make it difficult for people to vote.
