A helicopter carrying several people has crashed in Western Australia on Saturday afternoon. Police were informed about the horrific incident at about 2.30 pm on Saturday.
The helicopter crashed less than 10 kilometers from popular tourist destination Cable Beach and close to Broome Airport.
Emergency services were called at the scene. They have rescued at least four people. But two people have died. Police disclosed that an 11-years old girl was among two people who have died after the helicopter crash near Broome.
Two people are admitted to the hospital with critical injuries.
Police believed that there are several passengers onboard at the time of the crash. The pilot and other passengers were inside the helicopter.
The horrific crash left two dead and two people fighting for their lives. ‘An eye witness disclosed that he heard a loud noise and then he heard a crash’. The residents of the area quickly moved into lockdown.
St John Ambulance, Police, and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services personnel are present at the crash scene.
Helicopter ran into trouble shortly after takeoff but what cause the tragedy is the subject of investigation now. It is not confirmed whether the pilot died or not. But the 11-years old girl who suffered critical injuries in the crash has died in the hospital.
