Nurse Rachel Taylor has set a new example of generosity and love for her patients. She and her husband Calvin Taylor were on their way back home after an amazing, beautiful wedding day when they saw a horrible accident.
When Rachel saw the accident her nursing instincts kicked in immediately. She got out of the car in that scary situation still wearing her wedding dress to do what she does best.
A large SUV and a car crashed on the fifth avenue bridge over Interstate 494 in South St. Paul. The victims tried to resolve the matter when a black Chevy Tahoe entered the scene and crashed into other vehicles, wreaking havoc and injuring a woman named Tamara Peterson.
Rachel saw a couple of people tried to drag a woman over to the side of the road. She got injuries in her right leg. Rachel saw the injured woman and rushed to help her still wearing her wedding dress.
She dragged her to the side of the road and tried to calm her until paramedics arrived. Taylor’s husband captured the rescue scene and he shared the picture on his Facebook.
He said his rockstar wife didn’t care about her wedding dress. She only thought about her patient and ran to help her. She sat on the road, still wearing her wedding dress tried to clam the lady for about 15 minutes.
He wrote: “I am so blessed to have a wonderful wife who will always take care of people who need it. We were blessed that we were able to be in the right place at the right time to make a difference.”
Taylor reassured the woman that she is brave and strong at that scary moment. Injured woman, Tamara Peterson said she was an awesome lady who helped her in her difficult time.
