Lady Red Couture, a drag queen who performed in viral YouTube series Hey Qween has passed away. She was 43. Her friend and Hey Qween creator Jonny McGovern announced the news of her death.
He wrote: “I can’t believe I am writing this message but the unthinkable thing has just happened. This morning at 5 am I received a call from the hospital letting me know that Lady Red has just passed away.”
Jonny said she was improving yesterday and read to move out of ICU. But unfortunately, she has lost her life.
Lady Couture earlier admitted to hospital due to complications with a chronic condition called cyclic vomiting syndrome. Cyclic vomiting syndrome is a disorder that caused nausea, vomiting, and tiredness.
Jonny McGovern requested her fans to respect the privacy of her family. He wrote: “she meant so much to many people and everyone want to know the details. But please understand their situation.”
He also announced that all of the donations to her Venmo over this week will go to her family to help with her arrangements. Her sister also starts a GoFundMe page to cover the additional costs.
