Diaz was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition at Harborview Medical center. The driver of the car, Dawit Kelete, was later arrested.
Police are trying to find the motive of the driver who hit the protestor. They are also trying to find out how he got onto the interstate which had been closed by the state patrol.
Taylor had worked at a veterinary clinic. Summer was a strong woman. A GoFundMe page was established and it has raised more than $40,000.
