Black Lives Matter Protestor Dies After Being Hit By Car During Protest

The horrific hit-and-run incident happened on a close highway in Seattle where a car sped into a crowd during the protest.  24-years old protestor Summer Taylor and their friend Diaz Love were hit by a car. Summer has died in the hospital while their friend remains in a critical state in the hospital.

Summer was participating in a peaceful protest for Black Lives Matter in Seattle. They were severely injured when the car ran into the crowd. Summer and fellow protestors were transferred to the hospital. But Summer lost their life in the hospital.

Part of the protest was also live-streamed on social media. Another fellow protestor Diaz Love was also struck by a car. Love was recording the protest on Facebook Live when a white Jaguar sped through the car.

Diaz was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition at Harborview Medical center. The driver of the car, Dawit Kelete, was later arrested.

Police are trying to find the motive of the driver who hit the protestor. They are also trying to find out how he got onto the interstate which had been closed by the state patrol.

Taylor had worked at a veterinary clinic. Summer was a strong woman. A GoFundMe page was established and it has raised more than $40,000.
