BLACKPINK’s former manager who was well-trusted within the agency and by the members has received 1 billion won from Lisa to look into real estate for her. He used that money in gambling.
YG Entertainment confirmed the news and apologized for the inconvenience Lisa and her fans experienced after this unfortunate incident. YG released a statement and disclosed that the manager whose name was not disclosed by the agency was a long-time employee of YG.
He managed BLACKPINK since the group’s debut. YG disclosed that Lisa is currently struggling with fear, betrayal, and anxiety. She wants that the agency solved this matter silently.
YG stated that the former manager repaid some portion of the amount. He will be repaying the remainder of the amount accordingly. Agency also disclosed that he is no longer an employee of YG.
Agency also said: “We are currently saddened over the manager’s actions, taking ill-advantage of an artist’s trust. We feel the significant weight of the responsibility and the misdirection of this.”
