An A&E nurse, Demi Murphy, talked about the shocking incident that happened to her when she was about to return home after completing a 12-hours shift.
She disclosed that she felt disheartened when she found her parked car stripped of its parts. Demi said that the driver window of her Toyota Aygo was completely broken. The front of the car was completely stripped by thugs.
24-years old Demi who works at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital said that she has no other means of transport. She is really working hard in this pandemic and this is what she gets in return.
Now she has to pay an excess of £500 to get her fixed. She said she worked hard as a key worker. Demi felt devastated after this horrible incident.
She said that she could not get a chance to park her car in the hospital parking as the barriers were down. So she parked her car on a residential road where she earlier parked her car when she was a student.
The devastated nurse said: “This is something horrible. It should not happen to anybody. If you are a key worker or not but to return from the busy schedule & found out something like this. This is not fair.”
Ms. Murphy said that the residents from the street & social media users told her of same type of incidents on the same road.
A representative of West Midlands Police said that the officers are busy in the search of stolen parts after they got the report.
