Japanese Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) and Iranian Vice Presidency for women’s and Family Affairs discussed the important projects related to women empowerment during the meeting.
Japanese Sasakawa Foundation has earlier engaged in various projects with Iran. SPF has worked 10 years to establish connections with Iran.
SPF and Iranian Vice Presidency for Women both worked together on projects. Both countries discussed various issues related to women empowerment and women entrepreneurship.
Sources disclosed that the ambassador of Iran to Japan Morteza Rahmani Movahed, VP for women & family affairs Masoumeh Ebtekar joined the meeting.
Representatives from the ministry of foreign affairs also joined the others in the meeting. From Japan SPF’s Chairman, Nobuo Tanaka, Japanese ambassador to Iran, & various directors of SPF also attended the meeting.
Both sides have conducted the reviews on previous years’ projects and talked about the proposals before the corona period.
Women empowerment and entrepreneurship were the issues they discussed during the meeting. During the video conference, reports on women entrepreneurs in Iran and Japan, and various projects on home businesses were discussed.
Both sides also discussed the role of women in the post corona period and women’s access to information and communication for economic growth.
