Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA Shaheen Raza succumbed to deadly coronavirus at the age of 69 on Wednesday. She was initially admitted to Gujranwala Civil hospital but later she was moved to Mayo Hospital in Lahore after her health condition worsened.
Shaheen was elected on a reserved seat for women in a general election of 2018 in the provincial assembly of Punjab as a candidate of PTI. She got the virus during her visit to the field hospital.
Deputy commissioner Sohail Ashraf disclosed that she died during her battle with the novel coronavirus. Pakistan’s PM Imran Khan & Punjab CM Usman Buzdar paid their tribute to Shaheen Raza. They expressed their grief on her death. They also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Pakistan has reported 46 more deaths from deadly coronavirus today and the death toll reached 985. There have been 45,898 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Pakistan.
Various other politicians of Pakistan had also caught the coronavirus including Education Minister Saeed Ghani, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, and Speaker NA Asad Qaiser.
