A 16-year old girl, Louise Smith, went missing from the Leigh Park area of Havant, Hampshire. Louise was last seen around midday on Somborne drive on May 8. Police launched the investigation and searched every area to find the girl.
Now police are looking for a girl in the Leigh Park area and requested people to save any CCTV footage of that time when she went missing. Police urged people to contact them if anyone finds any clue.
Police also requested Louise to contact them or her loved ones to let them now that she is safe if she saw the news.
Hampshire constabulary stated that the CCTV footage of the VE day celebration recorded in the Havant might provide them some important clues. Police requested the public to share the VE day celebrations footage with the police to aid them in the search of the missing girl.
She was described as white, around 5ft 2ins tall. She has straight black shoulder-length hair and has a small build. Police are not sure what she was wearing on the day when she vanished.
Hampshire constabulary shared the previously unseen CCTV images of Louise at Tesco around 7.30 pm on May 7. She was in a black coat with a sheep collar.
Police also detained a man and a woman in suspicion of abduction but they were released on bail.
Police have found the dead body in the search of Louise Smith and are considering the death as suspicious. Formal identification of the body has not been done yet but police have requested the girl’s family for identification.
