Pentagon has fired its frontline official Jennifer Santos who involved in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic. Jennifer was employed under the defense production act to expand the manufacturing of safety equipment to defeat the virus.
Jennifer Santos was working for Industrial Policy as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense. She played an incredible role for Pentagon and helped to boost up the making of N-95 masks and swabs.
As per spokesperson Lt. Col. Mike Andrews’s report, the headquarters is allotting Jennifer at a new rank in Navy. The department was shocked that the orders were directed from the White House and interagency instead of the boss of Santos.
Prior, the administration of Trump demanded the defense producing act and forced GM for the manufacturing of ventilators. Earlier, the act was invoked by the administration during the Korean War.
Jennifer was appointed for the job in 2019 and had been working actively and engaging competently with companies. She had also been working with the Treasury Department for the prevention of Chinese to get hold of strategically vital companies.
Her past job experiences include working with airforce in the acquisition and finance departments. Her experience also counts with Capitol Hill as a staffer for Senate Appropriations defense subcommittee
