A New York nurse Danielle Coti stole the credit card of one of the dying coronavirus patient at Staten Island University Hospital North.
70-year old Anthony was shifted to a ventilator on the same day when she stole his credit card. When the patient was fighting for his life on a ventilator the nurse who took an oath to treat and save patients was busy withdrawing money from his card.
It was disclosed that she paid nearly $60.23 worth of charges from his American express card at ShopRite store & at a gas station on April 9.
Her crime was revealed when Anthony’s daughter Tara found the credits and informed it to the police. Tara said she never experienced this type of crime in her whole life. A nurse who is liable for the patient’s safety did this type of crime.
Tara said she is a mean human being. If someone does this to her family who was seriously ill what did she do? Danielle has worked at the hospital since 2007 but after her crime, she was suspended from her job.
She was temporarily suspended. It is not revealed yet that she will receive her pay during suspension or not. Police detained her and charged her with petit larceny, criminal possession of the stolen property.
