Sabina from London opened up about her scary experience when she gave birth to her baby girl while having coronavirus. Sabina thanked the hospital staff for saving her life as she had undergone a c-section to deliver baby after contracting coronavirus.
Mother talked about how doctors and nurses treat her at that time when the pandemic was on peak. Mother also had the novel coronavirus she revealed in a BBC’s Breakfast. Her midwife Maggie Blot also disclosed how difficult it was to treat patients while wearing PPE.
Maggie said that Sabina was the first patient they treated who was infected with the coronavirus. She was also pregnant at that time. When Sabina’s condition worsened they decided to perform surgery to deliver a baby.
Maggie said it was very difficult to work while wearing PPE which includes ‘thick heavy masks, extra gloves & gowns, and visors in front of faces.
Sabina said she was very scared at the beginning as she was alone and she started crying. She said the hardest part is not having your loved ones with you at that difficult time. But the midwives were amazing and they helped her a lot.
While Maggie said that it was difficult for them because the temperature at operating was very high. They all were wearing thick maks. She said they literally shouted because they were unable to hear each other while wearing masks.
Sabina said she focused on her recovery. She was worried about her daughter but doctors said she was in good health condition. When she got better doctors allowed her husband to meet her.
Sabina said that it was because of all the doctors who took care of her she is alive today. She expressed her gratitude.
