As coronavirus continued to spread across the world billions of people lost their livelihood and the worst-case possibility is that ‘no vaccine is ever developed’. Imperial College London’s doctor warned that ‘no assumptions can be made ‘that a vaccine will develop at all.’
Dr. David Nabarro said that there is a possibility that we will not able to make the vaccine in the future. The government has no choice left other than regional or national lockdown.
WHO envoy on COVID-19 said that ‘we are dealing with biological systems not with mechanical systems’. He argued that all the hopes of vaccine are now faded away.
Dr. David Nabarro declared this after the pressure of the British public for the creation of a vaccine which he said not an easy task.
A team of doctors is already trying to test a vaccine from a chimpanzee virus at Oxford university. In the US, scientists are trying different antidote.
Dr. Nabarro warned that people can expect to wear masks in the future. Because there are some viruses that we still don’t have a vaccine. He said that we can’t say that if we developed vaccine it will pass all tests of safety or not. It depends on how the body of humans reacts.
Imperial College London requested the government to implement the lockdown. As they are anticipating that half a million people could die if no action was taken.
