105-year old great-great-grandmother Beatrice Turner has celebrated her 105th birthday with only Hungary Jack ‘s burger and wine. She spent her special day with her family and friends at her Perth nursing home.
Beatrice revealed the secret of her long life. She said one can live a long life by valuing life and by working hard. Ms. Turner said she never smoked a cigarette and never consume alcohol until her 50s.
She was born and raised in Northam, 100 km east from Perth where she also got married and survived with three children. Her family then shifted to Perth after her husband returned from World War II.
She is well-known as the leading champion of the ‘Anagram World Challenge Competition’. She disclosed that during The Depression of Australia she only had ‘precious little’ but she and her family overcame the difficult situation.
Beatrice Turner is the oldest woman in the SwanCare nursing home. She said that her legs are a bit shaky but her mind is still sharp. Ms. Turner has a large family with 10 grandchildren, 19- great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
SwanCare Waminda Manager said that she is a great woman and inspiration for others. She even got the birthday wishes from Western Australian Premier Mark McGowan during his COVID-19 press conference.
